It started with the April 2025 blackout.
On April 28, 2025, Portugal and Spain lost power for hours. Some areas were dark for 24.
We'd lived off-grid the year before, so we still had backup equipment for the essentials: fridge, lights, charging our phones. While our neighbours scrambled for candles, we kept moving. That experience changed how we thought about energy.
That's when the idea for Power Made Simple started taking shape.
